Different concepts of Implants

Immediate implants: Also known as same day implants, where existing bad teeth are extracted and implants are placed on the same visit.

Immediate loading implants:  In this procedure the implants are loaded on the same day for function, where temporary/ permanent tooth is placed on the implants immediately or shortly after placement of the implant.

Conventional dental implants : This is done in two stages

Stage 1: Implant is placed in the jaw and left to heal for atleast for 3-4 months

Stage 2: After 3-4 months of healing period, the implants are loaded with a permanent tooth. With recent advancements in implant design and implant procedures, most of the implants are loaded immediately.

An initial examination and a CBCT scan is done before determining the type of dental implant.
